Portovenere
Portovenere is an UNESCO site, it is a stunning and picturesque village: colorful houses, narrow alleys and steep staircases take you to the amazing San Paolo church, settled upon a sea cliff, among rocks.
This church has been built in the early christian age then it has been changed following a gothic style, that point of view allows you to enjoy an awesome landscape.
In front of Portovenere there are three isles, Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto, and all together are part of the Parco regionale di Portovenere.
Interesting excursions can be booked to explore the three isles.
If you are keen on trekking, the Palmaria isle is famous for its paths in the middle of the thick Maquis shrubland.
A bunch of awesome caves are located along the rugged and rocky coastline.
